Compulsive Dingbat Syndrome

The habit
of poetry has bled
into conversation, where I find it better
not to talk
if it isn’t something worth speaking
of; thing is, something hardly is, outside, or in the head.

  1. This one registered as very real to me. To be honest, it’s good to know I’m not the only one. For me, it’s not even that I’m necessarily serious with what I write, but perhaps reading poetry also has an effect. And I suspect it bleeds into listening as well, or should I say, not listening. Is it a good thing? I’m not sosure…
